The Wind Machine
A modern twist on the Big Band legacy, The Wind Machine reimagines iconic swing-era arrangements for a tight, expressive jazz quintet. Inspired by Stanley Turrentine’s A Chip Off the Old Block and fueled by years of arranging and performing, this project channels the energy, groove, and harmonic richness of classic Big Band music into a smaller, more intimate format.

From the tight sax lines of “Four Brothers” and the Latin fire of “Tin Tin Deo,” to the laid-back swing of “Corner Pocket” and the bold punches of “The Wind Machine,” each track pays homage to the greats—Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, and more—while offering a fresh, contemporary perspective
